While ELA stands for EverLife & Associates, the acronym was derived from a special individual who embodied our core values as an organization. Dr. Alexandra Dean
Dr. Alexandra Dean

Psychologist

Dr. Alexandra Dean is the founder of EverLife & Associates, LLC. She is an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (in North Carolina), and a Nationally Certified Counselor.  Dr. Dean earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She holds a Dual Master’s of Science in Marriage/Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling and a Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  Since 2007, she has been committed to providing quality services. 

Dr. Dean has gained notable experience while serving in a variety of critical clinical positions in the states of Florida and North Carolina.  Her professional experience embodies: delivering mental health counseling services to adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples. Since 2010, she has been recruited to develop treatment programs and supervise various behavioral health facilities. She is a facility trainer and supervisor for other clinicians who seek licensure in the state of North Carolina. She also serves as a consultant to various mental health agencies.

 Dr. Dean is an adjunct professor at Gardner-Webb University where she teaches courses in the Psychology and Counseling Department. She volunteered for several years before becoming the Mental Health Director at Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office- Detention Center (Central and North). Dr. Dean supervised and helped develop the curriculum for the Behavioral Health Unit, which housed inmates who were diagnosed with severe persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. She was also responsible for the mental well-being of over 1,500 inmates. She has also provided organizational consulting services to Fortune 500 companies (ranging from recruitment, restructuring, team building, and executive coaching). Dr. Dean is an active clinician who has dedicated herself to help all who hope to positively redefine themselves and their lives during times of transition.
